Hybrid cars are set to get an injection of life thanks to this latest offering from Honda. Named the CR-Z, it has a sportier look thanks to its sleek coupe shape and should be good to drive, helped by an advanced chassis. It’s powered by a new 1.5-litre engine with 124bhp, making it more powerful than the Insight. Honda is claiming that it will do 56mpg with CO2 emissions of 117g/km, although these aren’t official yet. While it shares some components with the Insight it is around a foot shorter while the wheelbase is also smaller. This – according to Honda – will make it much lighter and more agile.
